Hello! My name is Molly. I am 25 years old and I have been married for three years. My husband and I live in Kansas with our adorable puppies named Princess and Charlie. I am currently working on a masters in special education and working with high school students with disabilities. My husband is a preschool teacher and is also working on a masters degree in secondary education.

I have been overweight since I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in high school. The depression was a big factor in my weight gain because depression either surpress your appetite or makes you want to eat more.... and I was the latter. Food was a source of comfort to me when I was feeling lonely. I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism which also contributed to the weight gain.

In February of 2014, I had the gastric sleeve surgery. The surgery went very well, and I have lost about 90 pounds since then. I am so much happier, have more confidence, and have much more energy! I am very glad I went through with the surgery. It requires a whole new way of eating. Since my stomach is so much smaller, I don't eat much, so it is very important that I make sure to eat things that will give me the nutrients I need and not fill up on garbage. It was hard to get used to at first, because I went from eating around 2000 calories a day to eating under 1000 most days, and I had some very strict restrictions on what I could eat post op to allow healing, but now I am totally used to it and can eat pretty much whatever I want, as long as I make smart choices!

Ultimate goal- 160 pounds

Starting weight (10-30-12) 258 lbs

ST Goal #1- 250 by the end of November! (3 lbs to go!!)
ST Goal #2- Be in the 240 range by Christmas!
ST Goal #2-Be 230 by valentines day!
ST Goal #3-225 by Saint Patty's day
ST Goal #4- 210 by hubby's bday! (April 29)

Non scale goals:

-Walk a 5K
-Fit into size 16 jeans
-Wear a size large in shirts

My Program:
-Trying to walk as much as possible
-Focusing on feeding my body the nutrients it needs to function properly
-Fruits and veggies every day!
