Having been introduced to SP by my younger daughter, who is a RD , so that I could lose weight and help deal with two worn-out knees and live longer I looked at the info available but didn't apply any that I did read. Time passed and my knees became a major source of pain. They were replaced a year apart due to my weight but the spark lit a fire. I tracked my food and drinks religiously, began to eat healthier foods and had a regimen of swimming, walking and hiking. The result was150 pounds melted away. Another surgery was performed to improve the quality of my life as well as my health but I couldn't swim, walk seriously or hike for 3 months and I could sit, eat and forget the new lifestyle I had developed. My motivating team from the big weight loss had disappeared so I found the 5% Challenge team. The rules were easily understood, reasonable and the team format was just what I needed. I have re-lost 100 of the 150 re-gained. Hopefully I will work harder to live the healthier lifestyle that gave me a healthier life during the Winter 5% Challenge.

My Goals:
It is my goal to reach 250 pounds.

My Program:
Tracking everything I eat and drink and staying under 1900 calories a day. I plan to walk 2-4 miles a day 4 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in east Arkansas on "The River" and am blessed to have the delta and Crowley's Ridge which provides unlimited outdoor activity and sports. Also, we have a great history created over the years and have Civil War sites recreated as well as original sites preserved. We have one of the largest Blues Festivals in the world. Always something great happening.

Other Information:
I always thought I would retire and my wife and I would hike and camp, sans Scouts, just the two of us, and I would write an article about the railroads in my home county. Physically we will have to work to be able to hike flat ground! I have a years worth of material gathered over 30 years to organize so I can write the article.

It sounds like you have gathered some nice things, "your stuff". Jim indeed had some nice items, he did not take care of them & they now are junk. Made me crazy as I am a if you don't use it lose it, except of course items in a collection.

Afternoon tea, also known as 'low tea,' is what most people think of when they hear 'high tea.' It involves things like manners, lace, and dainty foods. It is typically served in the mid-afternoon and it was traditionally served on low tables, hence its two names.

An afternoon tea menu is light and focuses on scones, finger sandwiches. Marmalade, lemon curds, and herbed butter may also be included. Favorite teas for afternoon tea include black teas like Earl Grey and Assam as well as herbal teas like chamomile and mint.

Historically, afternoon tea was considered to be a ladies' social occasion, and it is more often enjoyed by women than men to this day.
