Introduction Text I ama 57 year old woman, who has battled with emotional eating for most of my life. I have recently re-dedicated myself to fitness and SparkPeople due to constant injury and health issues. I want to be healthy again, and once and for all have the victory over this disordered eating! I would love to have a buddy. I am realizing more and more the importance of connecting with my body, of being IN my body. The mind-body connection is essential to survival in this crazy world bent on distracting us with noise, constant multitasking, and posessions. We need to be still and listen.

As I age I'm realizing more and more the importance of health, and it's connection to the body-mind. Looking good is wonderful; but health is the most important factor. I want to get to a healthy BMI, build muscle mass, and have the energy to enjoy life.

I have joined the Spring into Summer challenge, and will be strength training every day, and doing cardio five days per week. I am following the routine set by SparkPeople, and also doing Jane Fonda workouts for seniors.

I am from Niagara Falls, New York and have lived in California, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, and Pennsylvania at various points in my life. I have returned to my birthplace.

Man makes plans; God laughs.
