Hi! I am Jamie and I started this Journey 2 yrs ago on 1/2/06. I lost 85 lbs and then I got married and went on a fabulous once in a lifetime honeymoon, where I ate and partied and just had fun. Then real life set in again with all its stresses and pitfalls and I have gained 30 (ish) lbs. So I started my journey over again... and again.....and again.

Its been over 4 years since I wrote that.....we are getting a divorce now. We are still best of friends, we just cant be married to each other.

I havent gained all my weight back....I started out on my journey at 240 lbs, and found SparkPeople at 220. My lowest was at my wedding 165 and I have yo-yoed a bit all the way up to 200.
I weigh 181.5 today (2/8/12). So, I am still maintaining, but I am still overweight. I left Sparkpeople for a few years, because life just got too hetic. I got seperated, got laid off, have had 4 jobs in the last year and am headed into my 5th on 3/16. I moved twice....started 2 new relationships with men and had to end 1. Its all been just too much at times, I need to get back on the wagon.

So here I am....

Once i am. Its January 23, 2013 and I weigh 196 now. I have been gaining slowly but surely over the last year and I am tired of seeing the scale always going up. But that is my own fault. I stopped going to the gym everyday when I was laid of in April of 2011 and just havent had the muster to go back on a regular fact....I havent had anything like a regular schedule in almost 2 years.

But my life is settling down now, I have been at my job for almost a year and soon I wont have to do so much overtime beccuae they hired me 2 assistants. Yeh!!! So I want to climb back on this wagon and get my weight back under control and be the woman God intended me to be.

So first, I have to face what I have been eating. Tracking food is one of the hardest things to do and to be honest while doing it. But I need to see in writing just how many calories I am consuming. And I have discovered that even when I am watching what I eat, I consume ALOT of calories!!! OMG!! a cookie is 250 Calories!!!! WTF?? and I had 6!!! So its not just about tracking what you eat, its also making better choices and facing the consequences of my eating.

Next is the excersising and getting back into the habit of doing it everyday. I am proud to say I am a Zumba fanatic boyfriend is a Zumba fanatic which helps me to get up and Zumba with him everyday. And after I Zumba with him I do Yoga for me. I love Yoga. I love the stretching and the breathing and the serentiy I get from it.

So, we have the 2 main ingredients to losing weight, I should be good right?
