Leaving the remarks below as a reminder to myself to stick to what works! Try #4 at Spark People. Knowing that documenting every bite I eat, sticking to my daily calorie range, and getting my exercise that the plan does work, so I'm having another go at it!


"This is my third attempt at SparkPeople. The first time I used it just to track my food while I was working with a personal trainer. Boy I wish I had all the money back that I spent on doing that! I did lose some weight and definitely got more fit, but once I stopped going, the motivation to continue vanished. After I gained some weight back, I tried tracking again, but just wasn't motivated. Now, I feel that I must lose the weight as I am the heaviest I've ever been. I started tracking again in early January and have lost 10.5 pounds since starting. I feel like I have it in me to make this life change for good! Tired of losing and regaining that same 50+ pounds."

My Goals:
My goal is to finally lose this yo-yo weight for good. I know what it takes and I know how good it feels to be in control. I want to take charge of my health and well-being and be a better wife, mother, Nana and friend!

Short Term Goal: Lose 5% of body weight.
Long Term Goal: Lose 55 pounds by the end of 2016. That's 4.5 pounds a month.


My Program:
Eating healthy choices, portion control and calorie counting. Trying to amp up my exercise program. So far mainly just walking and light weights.



Personal Information:
I am a retired IT professional, married for 38 years to a wonderful man, two grown children, two wonderful grandsons and two precious little pups! My husband and I discovered geocaching two years ago and now that we are both retired, we travel a lot to pursue our hobby. Geocaching has taken us to some beautiful places we'd never have found otherwise. We hike, bike, kayak and camp. Anything outdoors is what we love the most!
