I'm here, and for me, this is a huge step. I just moved back to Colorado after my husbands 3rd deployment. During his 2nd deployment he was almost on his way home from Iraq and suddenly incurred a terrible brain injury. He suffered a ruptured brain aneursym, so I spent 2 1/2 months with him in the hospital in DC while he recovered and during that time, I went from being in possibly the best shape of my life thus far to gaining 30 lbs in that small time frame. (Sitting in a hospital daily and then eating cafeteria food will do that too you *haha*)

While I was home with family waiting out the deployment I managed to lose around 60 pounds in only 5 months. I was doing well and managed it until the summer when we took a vacation out of the country. I kind of fell off the bandwagon and because of the Depo shot I've slowly started to put back on some of that weight. I've put back on about 30 pounds of that 50 I had lost.

I've fought weight all my life and really was teased growing up for it even though I have always been very athletic. At one point I had went from my heaviest, 230lbs, to 180lbs in a few short months from hard work and eating right. Over the years though I've yo-yo'd drastically in some cases in my weight and I have no excuse to be as big as I am again. While I am working towards being a comfortable 135-145, the actual weight isn't quite as important. I want to be healthy with good muscle tone and still keep my nice curves.

I really hope to meet other people that can help me through all this. One of the biggest reason I managed to lose so much weight while I was home with my family was because my mother is such an amazing cook. She kept me in check and I stayed busy enough with school and work and working out that I was never sedentary. Now that we're back in Colorado I'm not in school at the moment and I don't have a job for the time being so I find myself bored at home most of the time which will often lead to mindless eating and lack of motivation to get downstairs to work out.

I want to start seeing the results again which are what keep me motivated.

My Goals:
I'd like to drop 40ish pounds but ultimately I'd be content just getting my bodyfat down and fitting comfortably into my clothes.

My Program:
I'm not on a particular program because I think it's most important to just build healthy habits that you can use lifelong as opposed to fad diets and "quick fixes."

My name is Lynnsy and I'm from Idaho. My husband is stationed at Ft. Carson, CO. We just bought our first house in Pueblo West.

Other Information:
I have several hobbies that I've managed to bury my head in over the last few years and ignore the fact that I've put on weight. I do LOVE my dogs, both rescues, and hopefully they will now be more of a motivation to get outdoors.

I keep saltwater aquariums and unfortunately it really has taken so much of my time but it is a beautiful and relaxing hobby.

My newest "hobby" is photography. I've been playing with it for almost 2 years now and I love it!
