I am a busy (who isn't?), happily married ,self-employed mother of two very energetic little boys. My weight loss goals are to improve the quality of my life by lowering my risk of diseases that run in my family like hypertenstion, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. I owe it to myself and my family to stay healthy...And, of course, I want to look HOT!

I am back with new GOALS for 2010!

I took a Spark break for what feels like a LONG time. I am back with new goals for myself. I am refocusing with sound nutrition and effective workouts!

April 2010 Goals

Theme: Progress not perfection! (Keeping this theme!)

1. PLAN my meals for the the day in the morning. This works for me if I just take a few minutes to plan the day.
2. Keepa food journal. I was usign Spark to track my nutrition but it was starting to wear on me...LOL! I write everthing down.
3. Eat clean, and metabolically correct for my metabolic type...I am a protein type. I do allow myself a cheat meal once a week.
4. Take my supplements
5. Watch my sodium intake
6. Drink my water
7. Reread Schwarzbein Books which have helped me in the past. It's balanced clean nutrition of real food with controlled carbs. I am going to experiment with this and modify to fit me.

1. PLAN the week out . Don't panic if the things don't work out flexible and adjust as needed.
2. Keep up weight training journal (paper) to track progress. This is really helping me!
4. HIIT cardio 20-30 minutes 3x week.
5. 2 upper body and two lower body weight training sessions. (I have two more weeks on this plan and then changing up.

Self and Spirit
1. Journal
2. Quiet time daily
3. Take care of me
4. Declutter project
5. Get enough sleep

Finish what I start!

My Goals:
I want to take better care of myself through healthy CLEAN eating, working out, reducing stress and balancing family and life.

My Program:
1. Workout at least 5 times a week ---3 cardio (HIIT) and 4 weight training sessions.

2. Eat CLEAN...6 meals per day, more protein veggies, portion control and balance.

3. Find ways to manage my stress level.

Personal Information:
My name is Linda and I'm from Chicago. I used to live n the city but now I live in a nearby suburb. I am a happily married mom of two amazing boys.. a 7 year old and a 5 year. I run my own research and consulting business so I'm quite busy but that's no excuse not to take better care of myself.

As of April 2010, I a m studying to be a personal trainer and wellness coach!
