My spirit animal is a hedgehog. I live a fairly happy life, but I have trouble opening up to others. I have a tendency to overthink things and will sometimes I refuse to take action for fear of making a mistake. This mindset has led me to ignoring my problems rather than work on fixing them...
I'm in my mid 30's and I've never been able to keep my weight in check. I keep going up and down depending on what's happening in my life. Recently, my unhealthy habits have started to catch up with me. I have high blood pressure and back pain (which I control with medication) and I'm pre-diabetic. I'm in a delicate situation where I still have time to correct some of these problems, before they get any worse. However, I haven't had much luck.
With the help of the SparkPeople community, I hope to take a more active role in developing a healthy lifestyle.
