Introduction Text Here's my story. I am a 60 year old mom of 1 daughter and 1 son and 4 beautiful grandsons. Life is full of ups and downs for everybody. I have never met a person that didn't have some story to tell of losses or hardships. So I am just going to start from the present time with my story. In December 2010 I was told I have Peripheral Neuropathy in both my feet. In January 2011 I was told I was boarderline diabetic. I now know it is time to get my head out of my butt and get my act together and lose this weight. I will not be easy for me but then again nothing in life has been easy. With that said, my doctor has challenged me to lose 1 pound a week for the next 3 months. I accepted his challenge. When he asked me how I was going to fullfill the challenge I said "with the help of SparkPeople." He did not know or never heard of SparkPeople. I told him in 3 months he will see the results. I know now that it is get serious time and I plan to do just that. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to losing my weight along with many of the rest of you. Here I go to week #2. I am so confident that I will lose the weight. Stepping on the scale made me smile. A smile that I will continue wearing right through the week. Good luck to all and lets drop the pounds...

My short term goal is to lose 1 pound a week for the next 3 months.

Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Drink 8 - 8oz glasses of water a day. Do whatever exercise I can daily.



My favorite book is The Shack. I love music. My favorite movies are chick flicks.
