My name is Kristen. When I married my husband, I was 100 pounds. Then, I quit smoking...resulting in a gain of about 20 pounds. Then, I learned to cook...add another 10 pounds.

I had my first daughter in 2008. I weighed 158 pounds when she was born, and quickly lost the majority of the weight. I started working out and got down to about 120. Then, I got pregnant with my second daughter. I was about 155 pounds when she was born in Oct. 2010. I had a difficult pregnancy and didn't work out, so getting back into the routine was very difficult. I was stuck at about 143 pounds, but I ended up gaining it back.

Plus, I tend to carry all of my pregnancy in my belly. I'm short, so the girls had no where to go but out. So, not only do I battle the fat storage, I have to deal with the excess skin...and there's not really anything I can do about that. To top it off, I have polycystic ovaries, which means that I'm more likely to store my fat in my abdomen--and I do. Not in my legs. Not in my thighs. My stomach. Great...lucky me.

So now, I'm at 153 and desperate to get my body back. Watching what I eat and working out. Hopefully I can succeed where I have failed before. I am pretty determined. Damnit, I will wear a bathing suit without shame again!
