Well I not only fell off of the wagon, I rolled completely away from the wagon, got up and ran away even further from it. I have gained more weight since the last time I was here, and I am disgusted with myself! I feel that I have tried every diet and lifestyle change that I can think of, and I have only ended up weighing over 300 pounds!!!! YIKES! I have been approved to have the lapband surgery and that should happen in the spring or early summer. I am trying to start the positive changes now and to lose as much weight as I can before the surgery. I haven't met the surgeon yet, but I am pretty sure that he/she would want me to lose as much as I can as well. I am so tired of this body ~ it needs to go!

My Goals:
My current goal is to lose at least 10% of my body weight prior to having lap band surgery, and following that to lose at least 140 pounds and to live a healthy lifestyle and to not be hungry all of the time!


My Program:
I plan to follow Weight Watchers and to track everything that goes in my mouth. I will use SP to help me to track my food, exercise, and for motivation!



Personal Information:
My name is Julie. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1992 and we have two wonderful daughters. Our daughters are both teenagers now!! YIKES! They are wonderful girls, but we'll see how the teenage years go! We live in Colorado. I work at a hospital and work 3, 12 hour shifts per week. I am Catholic, and my faith is very important to me.

    Hey Julie,
    I'm honored to be your buddy on this journey! We can succeed, if slowly, if we stay connected. My little A was so cute in ballet class tonight. You already know how it feels to watch your little girls dance with abandon. Makes life look like fun, huh? M drew an egg in his class and the shading was incredible! We had taco bell for dinner, but I ordered off the fresco menu. I haven't logged it yet, but I will.

    Julie, thought I'd say hi on a more personal note. Was reading your page and want to say that you don't need to exercise every day to see progress. I do weights 2x per week and walk 3 to 4x per week. Most weeks I have 2 to 3 days that I don't workout and I still see progress. It's slower than some others who are daily but it's still there.

    I like your approach to "diet". My MD said eat what I wan but to cut 25% out of my meal and I'd see results. Cut the pops (diet too), up the water intake.

    The stress.... it will never go away it will just change as your life changes. Stress isn't bad just sometimes how we handle it. Each time you reach for something to eat as comfort start with a glass of water, tea or even gatorade, or go see what your girls are doing or take a walk around the office. It'll help break the cycle.

    We all need support and friends during this type of journey and I'm here to be just that.
