I have lost 23 pounds since 2006. My problem is consistency. I struggle with being consistent in every aspect of my life. I am a writer. I want writing to be my means of income, but it is easier to take an office job and not risk failure. If I can become consistent with exercise and weight loss I believe I can achieve consistency in every aspect of my life. I lost weight before because I had a trainer. Right now I don't have the means to have a trainer so I am signing up for Sparkpeople.

My Goals:
My goal is to get my weight down to 130 - 135. I want to be consistent with my food and exercise and to eliminate emotional eating.


My Program:
Keeping a daily food diary on Sparkpeople and keeping in contact with other people like myself on SparkPeople. Increasing and being consistent with walking to and from work. Cooking from the recipes on Sparkpeople and The Biggest Loser cookbook. I am starting the March 1st challenge. Every Sunday a friend and I do a 3.5 mile walk around the perimeter of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY.



Personal Information:
For the past 12 years I have been living in New York City. Prior to that I lived in the Toronto area for 30 years. I was born in Kansas City, MO then Minneapolis, then Dallas. I write, act and am an admin. assist. Two children and three grandchildren. I am writing for young adults and middle school ages.


Other Information:
My favorite quote is from Yoda, "Do. Don't do. There is no try." Favorite books in no particular order, The Alchemist, To Kill A Mockingbird, A Wrinkle in Time, The Penderwicks, Bridge to Tarabithia. I also like reading Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley mysteries and historical romance novels. And I do like Jane Austen.
