I am a mother of two wonderful little girls. I graduated last year with my RN and I am currently back in school working towards my BSN and then on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I work on a cardiac/pulmonary floor and I see first hand what has happened to so many others that have the same habits that I have. I am still young and I can change this, I am just going to have to work hard and be diligent. I have tried enough crash diets, etc, to know that small changes in my habits are the only thing that is going to get me where I want to be long term. So many people tell me that I am so full of energy and full of life. This is true. I am very outgoing and enjoy doing so many different things but I need to start by changing my habits in regards to overeating, eating unhealthily, and living a sedentary lifestyle. I enjoy exercise and I want to learn to incorporate it into my daily life so it doesn't feel like an extra chore to do but something I look forward doing.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 50 pounds by the end of May. I was doing really well until the end of August. One of my best friends died in a car accident and I have been off track ever since. I konw he would want me to reach my goals and not get hung up on things I can't change, so I have to get back on track. :0)

My Program:
I don't have an exact plan yet. I do know that I am going to start going back to the gym, something else I haven't done since August. I am going to make healthy decisions and stop bottling all of the pain and negative emotions I have up inside of me. I am sad about so many things and this is only holding me back from achieving my weight loss goals. And that leads to more sadness and regret...2 things I don't need any more of.

I am from Kansas City. I like to do so many different things.
