CALIFCAS
Thankyou for the friend add! I've been away from Spark for a few months, off having too much fun, but now I'm back and ready to get back to work. I love your intro on your page! I've missed out on so much of living life and being happy. With my weightloss so far I've gotten a tiny glimpse of what it's like to enjoy life and I want even more of that. It won't be handed to me that's for sure. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but it's so worth it! You can do this! We are all in this together! 3612 days ago
What a positive start to a new you!!! Love your spark page. Hooray for the weight loss to date!! You are on your way Ladybug~ This is wonderful.
Thankyou for adding me as a spark friend. I too was an overweight child. 118 pound 1st grader, 174 pound 4th grader, and a 200 pound 6th grader. A few months into my sixth grade year my first diet came to be. It was Diet Center. By the time I started 7th grade rolled around, I weighed 121 pounds. That was a little too low, as I ended up with Mono, that started going into hepatitis. Doctors orders for me immediatly were more food, and yesss believe it or not, WEIGHT GAIN! My poor folks were frantic. They'd just spent a couple grand on skinnyin' me up, and now they were paying our family doc to tell them to fattin' me up! It was that or possibly lose me. Okay so pizza hut was the first stop.....lol !!!
150 lbs was a good weight for me. I managed to maintain that from 8th grade through my senior year. Mind you I walked 5 miles a day, no matter the weather conditions, on my own free will~even through the school year(s). Sooo in essence I have complete empathy for you. Do believe you and I have been wearing the same shoes. What ever brand that may be...lets burn those suckers!!!! NO MORE SHOPPING AT THAT STORE, are you with me on that??? ha
Welcome to sparkpeople. Truly a great site it is. If you start blogging you will have so many others reaching out to meet you, greet you, and help you journey this path of achieving/discovering the new you. There are other ways to meet folks, but blogging is an incredible way~as well as joining support groups/teams. Hope we keep in touch. I have many spark friends, and dont always get each one addressed, yet treasure posting notes on their pages here and there, or replying to blogs(when time allows).
Good luck to you dear. You can do it~you already have a jump start with weight loss happening, and a positive frame of mind. I am proud of you!!! Keep up the great work. Happy holidays to you~
