After my husband died of brain cancer three years ago I went from an under-weight 140 lbs to the other spectrum of 230 at the beginning of 2015. Now that I have gotten some mental help to get my brain in shape it is time to get my body in shape as well.

Now I am getting my gardening, swimming, dog walking, house fixing self on the road to health. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I am a familiar enemy/friend of prednisone. Aah, keeping weight in check while trying to eat everything in the house--such fun! That combined with a hearty dose of bipolar disorder makes for an interesting combination of both eating everything in sight and not eating at all.

My Goals:
Eat food, mostly plants, not too much (to quote Michael Pollan).

I WILL fit back into that slinky little grey dress that only fits below 150lbs! And I intend to keep it that way.

My joints need less stress on them, my husband needs less stress on him--getting healthy will help both of those goals.

My Program:
Snacking is my downfall, so 4 meals a day is my plan for food. I don't eat out much so most everything is home made. Exercise is a bit difficult, so I take it where I can get it--like belly dancing around the house, walking the dog, and gardening outside.
