just wanted to reply to your message about shin splints on the message board about running. i don't know all the details of your case, but it's almost always one of two things: too much too soon or shoes that aren't appropriate for your feet. usually it's the last one. did you get fitted at a running shoes store where they analyze your gait to put you in correct shoes? i didn't when i first started running, and i got really terrible shin splints that had me off of running for a few months.
