Introduction Text I'm an enthusiastic hiker and have been a very active volunteer with trail organizations. Right now (2011-2012) I'm taking a break from volunteering as I get settled in my new home in Ottawa. In my other life, I'm an IT network professional which means I spend a lot of time in small grey rooms with no windows. Getting outdoors on a regular basis is essential for my wellbeing. When I was hiking an end-to-end of the Bruce Trail 2001-2004, it was easy to keep motivated and keep the weight off, but since then I have not been as active as I should be.
