Since I was in my late 20's I have been tired, dead tired, so tired I can sleep 16 straight hours.
When I feel the best is when I am eating healthy and walking regularly. but most of the time I do not have the strength or energy to do so. Sounds like an excuse even to me, but it is a fact.
My weight has gone up and down for yrs I fight so I do not develop diabetes as both my parents had it.

I crave sugar. breads, sweets you name it. if it is carb friendly I crave it.. so I went to OA and I got a meal plan and a sponsor. I kept the weight off for a yr and half.but everyday several times a day I craved Carbs.

Bang I gained the weight back again.when I was trying to introduce back some healthy carbs back into my diet, the cravings got worse..

I have tried to go by the meal plans again. it is so hard to get the weight get off even with my healthy meal plan.
to make a long story short I just flat did not understand the problem. so I turned to the medical field, to help me.

Last week I was applying for life insurance, the nurse asked everything under the sun about my health and medical history. I told her I have sleep apnea and they feel I have narcolepsy also. they think I have it but i have to go through another sleep study to prove it and get medication for it.


The nurse who was a diabetic nurse for years, she said "you have Carbohydrate intolerance, you have a family history of it."
, noone had mentioned this to me accept this nurse. and the light bulb went on in my head.

ok I am a nurse was for 14 yrs. I have heard of glucose & lactose intolerance but not Carb. well with Carb intolerance you are lacking a enzyme which converts carbohydrates to be used in the cell for energy.and yes it gets worse as you age.
I began to research it and I show every sign of it. so Tom I have an appointment to see my md and see, I have it. I am 98% sure already I have this problem. So many foods I just cant have anymore.so many food that I love and enjoy I cant have anymore.
so now to low carb diets and maybe keto diet plans. I have been going about this all wrong.

The good news is this is treatable without allot of medications.

My Goals:
I am eating healthier than i even had before. I follow a simple meal plan. eat three meals a day.
I have weighed and measured my food. I eat a balanced diet. If it is high in Carbs it does not go into my mouth that is my new goal.
instead of counting calories I know count carbs.


My Program:
talk to other sparks people to keep motivated. lot at blogs, notes etc study all I can to learn how to be healthier get support from friends and family

I eat drink and breathe Genealogy and am a artist and a stay at home mom who teaches home school...


Other Information:
I am a Happy with my religion, latter day saint.

I do genealogy, paint am very creative. garden, can and eat alot of what we grow. luv to bake and am learning how to bake healthy foods..have kids in thier early 30's and a five yr old have been married 16 yrs to my best friend ...
