Hello Everyone! It's about time I did it for me! I am looking forward to changing my life for the positive. I do not want to follow in my mother's footsteps. Today 11-14 236 lbs....lots of ups and downs and I am going to just go down. My son said just lose 5 lbs and we can celebrate. I hope in two weeks, we will be doing that. I deserve to feel better. I can and will do this. I'm back 8/11 in 2019 and at 248 it's time to get this weight that has come on due to illness and medications. Goal is to stay hydrated. Get up and moving. Take my meds. Go out. Get a good night's sleep. Take..who's counting anyway, as long I commit to myself again. I have done it before and started before but I have stopped one of my meds that my Dr believes is causing my weight gain so here is hoping that with lifestyle modifications and eating healthy. At some point I will be on a total enteral liquid diet called Absorb Plus due to my Crohn's disease acting up but hoping this will help. My past does not define me and I can control some of the future.... These past posts are here to motivate me. Post op 1 week...at 180 lbs...sick as a dog...out of shape, eating poorly but no fast food still but need to get in gear and do this for myself, my son and my husband! Today is the day. 3/14/2012 Wish me luck bc I need it! Below are earlier posts but today is a new day... Today is My DAY One and my son is now 9 and as my health has deteriorated over the years this is the best thing I could do for me, my husband and my son !!!!! August 2019!!!!!!!! one for me 12/1/10! I have a beautiful baby boy named Julian who I want to be able to chase and watch and grow. My pregnancy was so difficult, we had him two months early and into the NICU for 41 days and I myself ended up in intensive care unit and was in the hospital for 8 days. So where to begin, time to get back to where I was before trying to get pregnant!!! I know I can do it and the best thing is, my husband is going to be doing it too!!!!! Ilaugh when I read this today 6/17/10! As I have gained too much to say to out loud but I will be 33 weeks pregnant this Friday! In 6 weeks we will be having a little boy added to our family. It h as been a tough pregnancy, sick through most of it..so when I was able to eat, I ate whatever made me feel better and the pounds added on....I don't want to adda nother 40 lbs before this baby is born so I am visiting here since babyfit didn't really feel right for me! "I just gained 10(updated 15lbs!) lbs since my wedding!!!!!!!! Back to kicking it to high gear! I was 144 lbs when I married Eric! I looked and felt amazing! Size smalls fit, now I'm in between a small and medium and some of my smalls aren't fitting so I have to do this for myself, I worked so hard, I can't lose it now! (updated 3-29)" Eric has gone back to work nights. So no more training buddy. No motivation. I also have been out of remission with my Crohn's which adds to the conundrum. Its a battle. *UPDATE- Eric has been doing biggest loser at work while I have been pregnant....lbs off for him....which is hard bc I get hungrier sooner bc of the baby...but good for me as he will be doing this as the baby is born... The only thing that is holding me back with clothes are my thighs and arms, so I am aggressively working on those areas with my personal trainer, he is very motivating and positive, so I know one day those will be back to average normalcy...I hope. Everyone is trying to take the credit but this is all me. I am doing this for myself. I am grateful for the support I have gotten thus far but just remember this is not a diet, this is a lifestyle change. I am ashamed to say, to those who say, lighten up, or live a little, I am. Just because I don't feel the need to overindulge with food or drink does not mean I am not living. I am living life to the fullest now. Life is great! fun! and I am proud to say I am feeling the healthiest I have been in a while! Nothing will bring me down! I haven't been counting calories and not going up or down in weight is reflecting this, so I am back to counting! I tried counting a month ago but wasn't feeling so well so abandoned it, now I'm going to do it, for real! Got married 8/31/2008 to my best friend! He is very supportive throughout all my health issues. He is my cheerleader! Sometimes he is my weakness too, I love going out to eat with him! Be Well Namaste Feel free to add a comment!

I'm keeping up my old goals to remind me that I CAN do this!

New short term: Lose 25 lbs by March/April 2011 vacation!

Long term: 50 lbs by Julian first bday 6/21/11!

Previous goals:
Short term : Lose 20 lbs by my March 17,2007 vacation
Met GOAL a little late 4/1!
Long term : Revised Lose 40 lbs by my 7 yr anniversary with Eric on 8/30/200.! Almost there!

Lower my cholesterol
12/1/10 no idea what this number is

Lower my anxiety/stress

Live healthier!

Be a positive and healthy role model for Julian

Stay in Remission with my Crohn's Disease

And of course, Look better!

My Program:
So three years of not eating one drive thru food got ruined at the end of my pregnancy and after delivery while Julian was in the hospital, we were always on the go, no excuses now, we are all home!

2.Preparing meals in advance/planning

(NO SODA until short term goal is met!)

3. Exercise Regulary

**Wii Fitness

** Ride my recumbent bike while watching tv (need to start this up again, stopped last year!)

** Walk alone,walk with friends twice a week, walk with pushing Julian in his carriage

When I meet my short term goal then I will go back to my personal trainer if he takes me!! By then I'll have more confidence about being back in the gym!

Personal Information:
I am 32years old living iin Chepachet,RI with my husband Eric and son Julian

I work long hours and don't get meal breaks at work as I am a pharmacist. **update: I make time to eat no as long as I have food prepared in advance I can do it!** This will continue!!

I was always average weight until I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2002. Since my diagnosis and multiple times on Prednisone and battling this disease , I have gained and lost 50 lbs!

Having a high risk pregnancy and having several major life threatening complications at the end of my pregnancy have completely changed my body and body image. It's a struggle but I know I can do this again.

Other Information:
Julian has made me a better person.

I am lucky to be alive and blessed to have a beautiful and healthy son.

    Love the picture of the proposal at Disney...that was always my "dream" proposal. We didn't get to Disney so that he could propose there, but went there on our honeymoon. Best of luck to you in getting those post-wedding pounds off! Keep up the hard work!
