I have struggled with weight my whole life and once I hit 25, it is only going to be more and more difficult to lose weight and keep it off. I want kids around that time too, and how can I expect to have babies and give them everything they need if I can't even take care of myself? So, this is my journey - love it or hate it (I'll probably be hating it most days, but for today I feel good so I'm not taking that for granted).

When I was in college, I started off between 130-140 and I was very athletic but even then I was still somewhat chunky, not proud of my body, and not toned. Then the famous freshman 15 turned into freshman 20, than 30, and 40. Once I hit 215 my Junior Year I was crushed and ready to take action. So, I went on Weight Watchers and started exercising as regularly as I could, and I started to lose weight. It seemed like the pounds just melted off. In 3 months I got back down to 148 and was feeling so great!!! All it took was a little bit of a routine and finding healthy foods that I really loved and really controlling my portions. Keeping my schedule busy was key because I didn't think of food often, and I was eating to live not living to eat. Then, I went home for summer break and started eating unhealthy at home and hanging out with my boyfriend (my now husband) and since going out to eat is fun, AND a social thing, I started to do that all the time. I ate out almost every single day. I was also working in an office where people went out to eat somewhere everyday, and though there ARE healthy options when going out to eat, how much fun is that? If I'm going to spend money, I want to spend money on something that is going to be delicious (which a LOT of times means it's NOT nutritious). And, slowly, the lbs started packing back on. Once I got back to school, it was my last year and I was 21 so I was going out and drinking more often than before, and I was determined to live it up and go out to eat and enjoy myself before graduation. Then, I got home for winter break and realized I was up to 200lbs again and I was so depressed that all my hard work and efforts from the year before were all for nothing, now my worst nightmare had come true. I gained back everything. I broke a promise to myself to never get into the 200's again. Another daunting fact was that I was now engaged to be married in July and I had weight to lose to fit in my dress and look good on the big day. So, with my upcoming wedding, I needed to make some serious changes, but I was torn cause now I HAD to lose weight but I still wanted to have fun. So, I put some effort forth, but I didn't put my whole heart into it. I lost about 20 lbs and when I got married, I was 183lbs.

After the wedding, we ate our butts off on the honeymoon in Hawaii, and the drinks were plentiful and amazing. When I got home, I didn't ever really get back on a good diet. I would try to eat healthy for a few days and then I would be tired after work and just cave and go out to eat. And slowly but surely, the weight started to pack back on again -- going out to eat will do that to you. Now I am where I am, and I have to start now. I will not allow myself to make any more excuses and put myself second to everything else in my life.

I am excited to get my life back, and I can't wait to finally be where I want to be... Right now, I'm just looking forward to getting on the scale and being BELOW 200 at this point. I can't even imagine how I'm going to feel when I get to my goal weight.

I am married to the most amazing and supportive man in the entire world. He is handsome and motivating; however my husband is blessed with a super fast metabolism. He and I eat the same amount, the same foods, I gain 25-50lbs in a few months... he gains 3lbs or loses 5lbs. It just doesn't seem fair. He is super supportive of me and he loves me no matter what, but I got to do this for myself. And I want to do it for him!

It helps so much to have a supportive group of friends and family (I hope to meet some of you on here and continue to read some of your super motivational and uplifting weight loss and fitness stories)!

My Goals:
- Lose 100 lbs.

- Be more confident.

- Love my body and truly see it as a gift from God rather than a curse.

- I want to have a baby really bad, but I know that I can't allow myself to get pregnant if I am not in good shape/ health

- so here is to working toward my dream body, my health, and my future babies :)

My Program:
- Eat a Paleo Diet for at least 3-5 Days a week
- Avoid wheat products and gluten products entirely
- Have ACTIVE rest days.
- Drink at LEAST 100 oz of water each day
- Get at least 7 hours of sleep (but REALLY REALLY strive to get 8 -10 hours)
