My P90X DVD sat on my book case for over a year. My initial thoughts were that this program was way too time intensive and just too hard. I was close to 250 lbs. and I looked 10 -15 years older than I was. The first step was setting up a workout area where I could exercise without the shame of anybody seeing how little I could do.

After the first 30 days, I saw some small results, but not as much as I felt like I should have seen. After all of the sweat, push-ups, pull-ups, and jumping around, I thought I would have seen better results. Then another 30 days went by and I measured again. O.K. this time I saw some good results, not great but good, strong good. As I finished my last 30 days, I looked at my results and was impressed with the program. I lost over 8 inches on my waist and a little over 37 lbs. Clothes that I had not worn in years were loose on me. My man boobies looked more like a muscular chest and my arms showed some definition.

I decided to join Spark after I lost my initial 30 lbs. to track the weight loss. There was another website that had a subscription cost to it, but I never used it. The Spark community seem to take the intimidation out of weight loss and working out and put in a huge element of inspiration and good information.

As an administrator for one of the P90X team communities on Spark, I enjoy seeing others blog their successes, concerns, goals, inspirations, and hard work. I like seeing all of the logged minutes of exercise and that lets me know that I still have a ways to go. Thank you Spark and Thank You P90Xteam for all of you hard work. Lets finish off strong and reach all of our goals in 2011.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
