Any goal met today is progress. I will strive for progress not perfection. progress is in all aspects of my life weather it be doing dishes,doing laundry.spark suggestions and anything that moves me forward. just for today I will thank my God for the beggining and the end of each day. NAMESTE

My Goals:
To lose as much weight, safely,as I can till Aug 17th,my back surgery day.Then I will lose a pound at a time during recovery.Once I am mobile I'll continue loseing weight to my target of 190,I will during that time start a exercise program using SP work out sites.

My Program:
Right now I am walking in a heated pool at my gym and doing low impact exercises 3 days a week for 1 hr. per session up to 2 sessions.I am using SP food planner to guid my eating habits and most important for me,portion controll.

Personal Information:
Most people call me Jim. I am from West Virginia,wild and wounderfull.

I hope someday to play golf again.I have been a registered U.S.T.A. proffesional tennis instructor.I hope also to fish again.My disabilities have taken many things from me that I will reclaim with SP direction.

Other Information:
I am a active member of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta,Ohio.I am a disabled vet./chef. I like to read anything in the large print area of the library.Where I live that's 1 entertainment is this computer which I just increased the memory 8 times..woa.I sing country karoke on Sat.nights.I even get request...blush.

    YES, I am READY to kick BUTT this year!!! I made a commitment to my big brother, who lost 80 lbs in 2010, that I will work out at least 3 days a week for at least 3 months. We shook on it and everything, so I gotsta do it! Looking forward to this year!!

    Thanks for stoppin' by my page today!

    I have finally gotten back to my workouts after having family in town and just getting off track for 34 days... UGH I felt like I had gained at least 5 lbs, but luckily it was only 2.5! :)

    I've already lost those back but my brother and his wife are coming for a visit next week and will be here for 3 weeks!! Gonna be hard to find the time to continue my workouts, but I sure will try!! ;)

    Anyway, hope you had a LOVELY day and that you have a FANTASTIC week!!!

    Thanks for stopping by my page hun. I can't thank you enough for your support. If it wasn't for you I would never have known about this site and I would never have seen how much people can achieve.

    Your daily reflections started the ball rolling, followed by your friendship and now SparkPeople. I've not made any new friends yet, but once I've found my feet, I will start contributing more to discussions etc. With that, I'm sure friendships with be built.

    Today (well it's 2.30am, so I mean when I get up, lol) is going to be day one of finding me. I bought the Spark book (which is fantastic), so that is my bedtime reading. I've got my oven fixed, so I can cook again, weeeeeeeeeeee! And most importantly, I've decided I WANT to find me again. I want to feel good, I want to be happy......and I'm going to be!!!!

    So please, wish me luck, I know I will need it.
