I started spark people June of 2008 and it is now a full 9 months later and I have yet to lose my goal weight. Supposedly if i were to actually follow the regimen...i would have been down to my goal weight in just a few months from now. I have lost a whopping 10 pounds...but I am not quitting now! I admit where my weaknesses are and mostly it has been a matter of time and motivation for me.
I recently ended a relationship which I feel was a major hindrance for me. I have decided that I don't need to date right now because I have so many other things going on in my life, but it would be a FABULOUS time to lose weight. The burden is all my own and I have no one to disappoint except myself.
My fool proof plan! I have hour long lunches and I have a set walk that only takes a half an hour, but it is 2 miles! When I get good at it, it will take less time... I can then up my pace, add time or miles to it and it is the perfect, carefree time of my day to exercise! I am working in a meditation practice during my lunch as well and this gives me my peace of mind and time to stabilize and reorient myself to my goals for the day. And sometimes I might be inspired to do my walk twice over during the hour and that means 4 miles!
Besides my lunch period...I have recommitted to roller derby atleast 2 times a week, possibly 3 if i have the time and energy. I have also set a plan to work out at a friends house 2 times a week, specifically on wednesdays and fridays. This helps us both to get motivated! And our kids can play together! And we don't have to pay a stinkin gym membership!

My Goals:
My weight loss goal is to be 125lbs by next year.
I have always wanted to take a hike through the Olympic Rainforest. I want to learn some survival strategies and then be healthy enough to get out in nature. I have high cholesterol, being healthy is imperative.


My Program:
Drinking Water again! I'm convinced that is where the first 5 lbs came off! Maybe I can get another 5 lbs off with this awesome habit. Need to work some veggies and natural foods in. Healthy snacks rock! More tea than coffee!
