I just want to be healthy again. Getting the weight off has been a goal for some time but, I can't seem to do it alone. I joined Sparks today in hopes of finding others who understand and can help me along my path to getting my health back.

Up Date: 3/1/18
I wrote the above over 8 years ago and am only 8 lbs lighter. But, I am back and ready to try again. So much has happened in the past 8 years. I am now a cancer survivor, I have diabetes and a heart condition. If I want change I have to work toward and when I feel discouraged I remember nothing is impossible for God. I believe this with all my heart, mind and spirit.

Up Date: 6/4/18
Just finished my first 5% challenge and am down 12 pounds. I did not make it to 5% but I will take it. I met a ton of great people and a few I call friends and hope to know for a lifetime. Sparks is a great community and thanks to you all for the encouragement and love along the way. See you for the Summer 5%.

Up Date: 8/31/18
I finished the Summer Challenge last week and got there (I lost 5%). I am going to do the in between challenge to stay on track and accountable. I have reset my tracker for another personal goal of 20 pounds.

Up date: 10/14/18
Started fall challenge last week. I gained 5 between challenges so I have to work extra hard this 8 weeks. I am down 2 so far and reset tracker to reflect the 45 I want to lose.
I feel better than I have in years and am so grateful... God is Good. Thank you father for your blessings and favor and to my new Sparks family, Thank You for your love and support and may God bless you all.

2/30/19 Finished Winter Challenge. I did not make the 5% weight loss but am proud of how far I have come.

Fall down 7 times...get up 8. Gained back over the break...oops
** 10/19 Starting over again. 65 lb is my goal

3/1/18 I am tracking my food and exercise and am educating myself on nutrition and how it affects my diabetes. 278
6/27/18, I decided to make weight loss goals that are realistic, starting today I have moved my tracker to show increments of 25 lb for my goals. Down 10, 268

7/1/18 Started a Keto diet and did well until I got back on carbs
8/14/19 Starting over on Keto 261

3/19 - Doc cut diabetic medication in half WHOOP!!
