Hey girl, I hope you are having a fabulous day too! I'm SO glad it's Friday.
To answer your questions: Yes, it tells you when to start and stop. And you can run music at the same time. Get your music going first, then pull up the c25k program and start it. It does not tell you how fast to run. I just did what I could when it came to how fast, but I didn't have a GPS watch or anything telling me how fast I was going.
I'm so excited that you are checking it out. Let me know how you like it.

I think you have a great plan. Sparkpeople is really great and many sparkers use all the tools and love it. I completely understand. I am running between 2.5 - 3 miles at a time. I am trying to keep it to 3 days a week, but last week I only ran once. I'm determined to get my three days in this week, lol, because I want to keep everything I've built up to. I started out really slow. I used C25K program. You can google the program and if you have an iphone you can download the application to your phone. It starts you out with alternating walks and jogs and you build up to 3 miles by the end of the program to get you ready for a 5k. It is a really great program and I highly recommend it to those who are getting started or re-starting. The beginning is very hard. I had a tough time starting back, but I just pushed myself, not to the point of an injury, but enough to keep improving every week. I dealt with some shin splints, and I was coming back from a lower calf muscle injury. Hang in there because it really does get easier!!

Hi Cassie, Thanks for your encouragement. I am new here so it took me a couple days to figure out how this whole thing worked! Good luck on your journey too! It'll be totally worth it in the end!!!
