Yes, it has been a while since I updated this page! And I really want to change photos as I have many in my computer but always depend on daughter or daughter-in-law to help me with that. Maybe I will try it on my own.
Right now I am at weight that one weight loss company told me should be goal. But that is still overweight and I really want to lose 10 more lbs. to be where SP recommends.
I am very proud of the exercise I now get when in the beginning I could not walk for 5 minutes due to a bad knee and hip. Today I get as many as 130 minutes of exercise. Especially love the water aerobics, but also enjoy walking and the recumbent bike.
My husband of nearly 62 years supports and encourages me all the time. And I have just started challenges which I enjoy even though I am not a competitive person. But they do keep me on my toes. During the 56 days of the 2010 Winter 5 % Challenge I hope to lose 10 lbs., a real challenge for me!

My Program:
The Nutrition Tracker is my constant buddy as I use it faithfully every day. With my bad knee I didn't think I could exercise much, but now am up to a 40-45 minute walk and 30 minutes of riding the recumbent bike. Losing weight has certainly helped!

    Hello from Miami Beach.
Hi Carol, I lived in MB from 1980 to 1995. I only moved to Salem Or. to spend time with my young grandsons. I had found myself flying up there 3 or 4 times a year and I was not taking anymore trips to Europe to have the fun with friends that I had became used to. So I moved spent some of my best years with two wonderful grandsons. By 2017 they had grown up, I didn't see them much, the weather was cold wet, joints hurt. Had friend in MB she said come back. Last Oct. I packed my van with my Yorkie and drove 4000 miles to settle in Miami Beach. Stayed with friend for 4 months, in Feb got my own little studio apartment and love it.
I would only live in a beach town area, not the city of Miami. I only travel to Miami if I have too.
The weather is great, once you get used to it. Even the summers with rain humidity are Ok, you have A/C.
I used to wonder when living here before why did so many seniors move to Fl. It's the life style, weather. So now I am one of those seniors. Ha!!
When you visited , I would think it would be hard to go back to any cold climate.
    Take care,
    Hugs Tisha emoticon
