Introduction Text I have been a member of Spark People for almost 10 years. This weight loss journey has been exhilarating and frustrating. I have had many challenges...chronic health conditions, menopause, surgeries, divorce and many times just wanted to give up. I have never stopped learning and trying, no matter what Life has thrown my way.

I would like to lose 70 pounds and get healthy and strong again!

I try to stay within my caloric range of 1200-1500 daily, drink 8 cups of water, walk when I can and do gentle exercises such as Classical Stretch with Miranda Esmonde-White. All this depends on my energy level and achiness due to Lupus and Fibromyalgia. I eat every 3 hours to keep my energy level stable and include all food groups with each meal.

My name is Cathy. I just moved back to New Hampshire the 1st of July, 2012. I am divorced and starting over again! I went back to school and now working part time as a receptionist/office worker at a daycare facility. I'm a mom of 2 grown children and a grandmother of 5 beautiful and sweet grandchildren. 3 granddaughters, ages 12, 3 and 16 mos. And 2 grandsons, ages 9 and 6.

I like to read, meditate and practice the healing art of Reiki. I am interested in the body, mind, spirit connections to treat the whole person.
