I've made big changes. Moved to 7500 ft
elevation among ponderosa pines and douglas
firs. Surrounded by natural beauty, I need to
improve my stamina and strength to be able to
get out and enjoy it for the rest of my life.

My Goals:
My Goals:
1. Lose LOTS of weight, but there is no hurry- I just need to be the turtle.

2. Gain muscle and stamina. I've acclimated well, moving from sea level to over 7,000 ft. I can walk up stairs or a hill without huffing and puffing. Now I need to increase my speed and distance without injuring my joints or muscles.

My Program:
I'm following Weight Watchers online and have just hit my first 10% goal. I have about 3 more 10 %'s to go. But hey, 1 down!

I exercise by walking my dogs around the lake, weekly hikes, and using the treadmill. My daughter and I are riding our bikes every weekend for about 16 miles. I 'm still no bathing beauty, but I've lost enough to feel like I won't offend anyone who see's me wearing a bathing suit, I am occasionally doing a deep water exercise class that kicks my butt!

Personal Information:
I've lived in Texas, Indiana, Venezuela, and California. After my parents passed away, my husband and I joined our daughter and son in Colorado. We have spent our 39 years of marriage planning for this move. We live 5 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and I want to be physically able to enjoy my surroundings.

Other Information:
I'm a teacher. I enjoy arts and crafts, including photography, basketry, knitting, and sketching. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside in the fresh air, listening to the sound of the wind blowing through the treetops.

    It's been a little tough the last few weeks but now that Spring is almost in Pennsylvania I'm
    feeling a bit renewed.

    Hey...thanks for stopping by my page and giving me the great comments. It is a great feeling reaching goal and being such a great role model for my girls.
