My goal is to loose 140lbs by 1-9-2010. I need to burn about 950 cal. per day. I also need to lower my blood pressure and cholestrol.
Second goal is to be able to drive again of 8 yrs. After neck surgery left me disable with a damaged nerve on my left side. There are more goals to reach but I'll take them one day at atime.

I'm 54, I'll be 55 on March 10, 09.
I was born in Selma, AL, raised up in California, moved to Phoenix, AZ. Went to Phoenix Union High, and Phoenix College. I lived in Japan,Maryland, Enid,OK and liked Oklahoma decided to stay. So I moved toEdmond, OK where I reside now.
Been married to the same man for 30 yrs. Had two boys(Lost my oldest son in 2002); have 3 grandsons.

My interest are sewing, knitting, reading, all type of puzzles, playing card games, mah jong, walking, traveling, working in my flower garden. Unfortunately some of these I can't do any more., but i want give up.

My weight have been fluxating up and down most of my life. My last three weight trickers was when I had surgery on my neck that left me with nerve damage which lead up to other problems my looseing my job, end up disable and not able to drive(haven't drove in 8 yrs). It just added to fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, degenerative bone disease in my spine, knees, shoulders.
Second tricker was when I lost my son in 2002.
Third tricker was when I lost my mother on my Birthday, March 10,04, while holding her in my arms.

I heard about Sparkpeople on TV. I like what I saw and read. The people I've met on Sparkpeople and the Sparkpeople Teams are awsome.
I love how I can keep track of all my goals without the hassle. Especially how I can plan my meals.

I have been on a yoyo mostly due to health problems but now that I know what Sparkpeople can do for me and how helpful everyone are there is no stopping me.
