My Goals:
To enjoy life to the fullest.

 Eating healthier and keeping active!


Personal Information:
I retired December 31, 2017, after working for 44 years. I've worked for Family Court and Easter Seals (both half time jobs) for a year and 3 months. After that I worked full-time at the Community College where I moved to several departments.

Other Information:
 Hubby and I have three grown children, one living in Ridgecrest, CA, and the other two on Kauai. We have five grandchildren, two boys and three girls. Hubby has been retired since 2012. We are enjoying our retirement but are more busy then ever. I enjoy sparking and try to do a little each day.

I've been using the Samsung Health tracker and trying to walk AT LEAST 45 minutes or 10,000 steps.

I've also been decluttering and organizing my paperwork and important documents. I want to be prepared just in case...

    We have that in common, too! The day after the dental appointment, Gordon and I went to the optometrist's. We're okay. I wish I didn't need glasses for distance, but I'm grateful for nothing seriously wrong. I like the people there and our twice-a-year visits are always pleasant.

    Tuesday was a sunny day. I think it even got up to 56. Yesterday was in the lower 50s, still what I think of as warm for January, but it was cloudy and the wind was picking up. The weather was changing. Usually, our weather comes in from the west. If the wind is from the south, it's warm, but, brrr, those cold blasts from the Arctic sweep right down unobstructed by any mountains. I knew a woman from Alaska once who told me that when it's that cold in Alaska, the wind stops. Nooo. Our wind can be brutal. You're lucky you live where you do!
