I gained 60 pounds with the birth of my first born, my daughter. I made the silly mistake of telling myself that there was no sense on losing the weight as I knew I wanted to have another child. Well that wasn't one of my brightest ideas. I lost weight but never made the effort to lose what I should.

Well I got pregnant again before her second birthday and gained 60 pounds with my son. I lost 20 pounds right away and when I went back to work a year later I lost another 30. But then I got promoted to a desk job and gained it all back. Well my baby just turned 6 and I can no longer call my fat, "baby" fat. Sadly, I own it all. Every pound, every ounce.

The past few years the pounds just kept piling on. I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and excerise...well there wasn't any. I remember countless times when we would be driving back from a restaurant or I would see these cute clothes that I could never wear and say that's it. It's time to lose the weight. I am going to start eating better and going for walks and take control of my weight. Well that was all good in theory and those thoughts passed quickly. I guess I never really wanted to lose the weight. If I did I would seriously do something about it.

I have so many reasons why I should lose the weight. My family history isn't the greatest. My father's side has numerous heart conditions and my dad died at the age of 47 of a massive heart attack. I have two small children who I would like to see grow up and have children of their own. But I guess I just never had the motivation or the desire to really want to do something about it.

By literally a luck of the draw we won a Wii this summer. I heard about the Wii fit and thought that is what I needed. With two small children and a husband that works nights the gym is not an option. I received the Wii fit for my birthday last month and quickly lost 4 pounds. I then started eating better and lost another 6. I now have lost almost 13 pounds. It may not work for some but clearly it works for me. It's better than no exercise right? So while I found this site back in May I finally decided to join after starting to lose the weight. Losing enough weight to reach my goal is going to need all the motivation I can get and this place seems like the perfect place to do that and meet some great people along the journey. :)

To lose the weight I should have lost a long time ago. I have two children 8 and 6 and I want to be around for their future and be someone they can be proud of. I want to be someone I can be proud of.

At this point in time I can't live without my Wii fit. It is what got me started on my weight loss journey.

    Hi, I just notice you also use wii for loosing weight. Actually I am also trying it. What kind of games are you using? How is it going with you? And did you set your own workout? Thanks for info. emoticon
