Hello my name is Angel and I am a recovering FAD DIET participant. When I turned 40 I took a hard look at myself and I didn't like what I saw. From an active size 6 female to do nothing size 12. I know how I got there and part of it was from medication. The other part was just me being lazy. I tried and constantly failed to lose weight. But I told myself that "at least I tried". I was fooling myself over the years but the mirror never lied. Well, I became fed up with my self inflicted situation. I chose to truly do something about it. I researched and researched and started eating healthier. I changed the way I cooked, the way I eat, the way I completely look at food. I still wasn't exercising but I was taking it one step at a time. Now it was time to start working out. I had tried so much in the past. I just wasn't interested and my weight didn't help. I am not really a people person so having an exercise buddy wasn't an option for me. And now that I had hit a plateau with my weight loss I needed to do more. I am exercising now and enjoying myself. The time alone is for myself and no one else. Meditation. I AM LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. It has been a journey over these several years but it was worth it. I am more comfortable in my own skin. I smile more. I believe in myself again. I AM ME AGAIN...

In your 40's: You are old enough to know better. You're an adult (at lease you think you are). You want better for yourself. You keep trying to improve and learn from your mistakes.

In your 50's: I'm not there yet! LOL
