Introduction Text Tell you what I want, what I really really want: To have unbridled fabulosity, fit into my clothes again and feel proud of myself! Not to feel sooo heeeeeavy and sluggish..not sexy, kids. To walk up a hill without going bright red and panting like a doggie! To diminish this apple shaped tummy of mine so that it doesn't a/ stick out further than my boobs, b/ get in the way in intimate moments with my fella or c/ make me want to buy a caftan to wear so my waistband doesn't stick into it! (so far, I have resisted - I feel that the purchase of a caftan for that reason means one has given up.) To be able to buy ankle-strap shoes because bending down to do them up is no problem To see a photo without feeling shocked at the way I look, stop dreading changeroom mirrors and, god forbid, maybe actually go swimming! My whole life I was a size 12 (US size 8), around 150 lbs I guess, but my weight's been creeping up since 2001, when I turned 28 and moved to London. They call it the 'Heathrow Injection' but I think it was more because I got a bit older and started working in more sedentary jobs. When I moved back to Australia in March 2005, I was still only about 78kgs (171 lbs) and a size 14 (US 10). By November that same year, I had finally shed a useless boyfriend but I was tipping the scales at 88 kgs (194 lbs) size 16 (US 12). I've gone up and down a few times since then, getting back down to 78kgs by around June 2008 which felt great but was shortlived! I first joined SP in Dec 2008 at 90 kgs and over the next few months I dropped down to 85 kgs but lost my 'spark' in a big way after life dropped a few nasty obstacles into my ever expanding lap and and now here I am at 91.4 kgs (201 lbs), still a size 16 (12) but pushing it! :-( Happily, I know what to do and with a little luck, a lot of sweat and determination and some true grit, not to mention this fantastic website (hallelujah for sparkpeople I reckon, I am SO inspired by the other people on here!) I'm doing it. Not tomorrow, or 'one day' - RIGHT NOW!!

Ultimate Goal: 65 kilos, (BMI 22) Size 10/12 (Aus) Become a habitually healthy person: Exercise 5 times a week at least and eat within range 6 of 7 days. To get there: Incorporate sustainable healthy behaviours into my life so they become lifelong habits How I'll measure it: Lose a minimum of 450 grams per week Interim Goals: 86.7 kgs - lightest weight since Dec 2008 AND no longer obese! 81.9 kgs - 10 kgs down 79 kgs - my February 2008 weight and half way to goal 73.5 - 20% of body weight - GONE! 72.3 kg - HEALTHY BMI 69 kgs - under 70 for first time since my 20s.

Use the nutrition tracker religiously. Stick to a low-carb, high protein eating plan. Exercise 3 x cardio and 3 x ST per week. Make healthy choices a way of life...
