I went from a 110-pound ballet dancer to a 200+ pound miserable 20-something who probably should have sued her doctor for not taking her off the medication that did it. After all that, I just gave up, and started binge eating and stopped trying completely. I was up to 315 in December, 2009 when I had the back surgery I'd been putting off for 10 years, and right after that I moved from a big city across the country to a much calmer, nicer kind of place. I found out at the doctor in April that I'd lost 17 pounds since my surgery through no effort of my own... I had been eating better and less because I was happier and had been moving around more because even with the post-surgical recovery pain I'm in less pain than I have been for years! Last week I went back to the doctor and found out I'd lost three more pounds... and no, I still hadn't been doing anything special. I figure now is the time to start actually making an effort to move around more, especially since it's time to start physical therapy... I want to start getting some muscle tone back and get healthy, so I can be pain-free and active again! I also figure that there are probably things I'm eating that aren't as healthy as I think they are, so the nutrition tracker has been helping with that. Better now than never, right?

My Goals:
I decided I want to lose 50 (more) pounds by my birthday. After that, we'll see!

My Program:
Since my surgery, I've been moving around a bit more. My plan is to continue, and add formal physical therapy when I'm cleared to, and pay more attention to what and how much I'm eating!
