Oh and it feels so nice once you get rid of the foods that your system just can't handle. I hope you start feeling better!

Yeah, soy makes me feel extra tired, and basically just like a slug. I break out in rashes, but then I break out in rashes if someone blinks so I haven't been able to actually tie that to soy or not. But I can definitely feel my motivation slipping if I realize that soy is hiding in something. I think it counteracts my thyroid medication or something. So frustrating!

Thanks for the add! Good luck with your gluten free lifestyle and the dilemma over further testing. If you need any help please ask! emoticon

ETA: Sorry! Didn't see your comment on my page before I posted this!
The best advice I can really offer is keep it simple. Cut out processed foods for now, and cook at home. We grill a TON, so we still eat mostly grilled meats and veggies. That made it much easier in the beginning.

Read labels, read labels, read labels. Learn what all the "no nos" are (wheat, barley, etc) and avoid them like the plague.

Best resource I have (and still use sometimes) is the message boards at There are some really good books available too. If you're interested, I'll give you some titles.

Feel free to ask me anything! If you're not comfortable posting it on the boards, or on my page, message me.
It's so much easier to deal with when you have support!

I do think you need the test. It is not fun because you have to be in pain, bloated, and uncomfortable but at the same time you get to know the damage that it has done, how severe your reactions are if it is celiac (which my son has) or a gluten intolerance. All of these are important but the most important is to have them see how much damage is done.
