In 2011, I finished law school, passed the bar exam, got married, got diagnosed with celiac disease, moved cross country, spent 2 months travelling around Asia & Europe ... & realized my weight had gotten completely out of control. Now I'm making 2012 the Year of Me: focusing on my weight & health, as well as a myriad of other "Happiness Project" style goals.

My Goals:
Run a 5k Race. - CHECK! Portland Run for the Roses, April 1, 2012.

Run a 10k Race. - CHECK! Buffalo Marathon Relay, May 26, 2013.

Run a Half Marathon. - CHECK! Flying Pirate Half Marathon, April 13, 2013.

Run a Marathon (someday!).

Complete a Sprint Triathalon.

Lose 120 pounds (ultimate goal).

My Program:
I'm currently tracking everything I eat. Trying to be as meticulous as possible by weighing everything & trying not to eat out.

I'm currently doing the SparkPeople strength training exercises & attempting the Couch to 5k program, which has been difficult - but my husband (who is a runner) has been doing it alongside me & encouraging me so that I can complete it.

Personal Information:
I'm a new law school graduate originally from Buffalo, NY. After 10 years away, I've recently returned to Buffalo with my super supportive husband (SchnellD) & our amazing dog.

I'm newly diagnosed as celiac & learning to be gluten free while trying to get my health in my control.

Hubs & I are thinking about starting a family - & how to work that in with my fitness / weight loss goals. Any advice on still being obese while trying ton conceive is greatly appreciated. :)

I LOVE to read - please suggest good books! I'm always on the look out. :)
