Brown rice, oatmeal, muesli, barely (1/3 cup can be added to rice (brown or white) for nutritional boost and different texture), quinoa, whole meal and rye bread and whole meal Indian flat breads.

I only use short-grain brown rice for when barley is the right texture but the wrong taste. I prefer opportunities to use barley.

I'm over with whole-grain spaghetti except as noodle companion to stir-fry. Other whole-grain pastas are falling out because their price is getting too high and I'm tired of the limited shapes.

I also like beans.

Oatmeal !!

I do not eat instant, I buy "old fashioned" and cook it myself. Does not take long. I also slice up one or two apples paper thin and add it to the oatmeal when it is almost done. A teaspoon of brown sugar and a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and I am one happy girl !!!

I love whole grains. We normally eat any of these- brown rice ( any variety), beans( any kind), lentils, black eyes peas, dried green peas.
If you soak your beans and peas overnight they cook well and better for your stomach to digest.

I like brown basmati rice, and couscous, and oats. I have tried quinoa (even though scientifically that is not a grain, it is a seed), and I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

I've been wanting to try barley but I can't seem to find any in the stores!
