Because of the different shapes and sizes of pasta, generally, you are not going to get an accurate measurement of you pasta with measuring cups. I agree with MEGRI25, a scale is your best option for getting the correct measurement of pasta.
I had this problem about a year ago as well because I used to eat pasta like it was about to stop existing. I solved it by buying a little food scale from Target; it's just way too much trouble to guess how much dried pasta was supposed to fit in that cup. you could also try making more than one serving and measuring out portion sizes after it's cooked; a serving of cooked pasta is 1/2 to 1 cup,I think (depending on the shape of the pasta?), because it swells up when you cook it. hope that helps!
Hi everyone, quick question, how many oz of dry noodles are equivalent to one cup (liquids)? My measuring cup says that 2 oz are 1/4 of a cup, which would mean a toooon of calories for a teeny tiny portion of noodles.
