thank you all so much :) you have motivated me to not only go to the gym and run 2.8 miles, but also go for a long walk to the lake we have on campus just to talk with my friend and clear my head. I'm feeling a lot better and tomorrow i am planning on cutting back carbs since i had a few extra today. thank you all again, don't know what id do without you!!

Don't beat yourself up about it. Everyone has good and bad days. Even if you don't go to the gym, what about just going for a walk or finding an exercise show on t.v.? Do you ever do yoga? Yoga is great for relaxing because you have to focus on it and not the stress. I think if you start doing something you'll find that you feel better and you may make it to the gym after all. But even if you don't, it's one day. Plan on doing an extra 10 minutes each time you work out the next week and just allow yourself a night off.

I have slipped up and ate a little over my calories PLENTY of times. Everyone does occasionally! I just tell myself that going over 300 calories ISN'T going to make me gain weight. In fact, I'll still probably lose weight this week. Looking at your daily calorie differential is great, but looking at your weekly one helps a lot too! All that work you put in on all the other days still matters. And if you have a nice deficit each day, losing a few hundred calories will not undo that progress. Pick up the pieces and carry on as normal! Tell yourself that you're going to go to the gym and just do 1 1/2 miles. Or 30 mins on the elliptical. (Or whatever you do.) Just set an easy goal for yourself! And that way if you do it and don't feel better, you can leave. But I guarantee you'll feel better and wanna do more. ;)

I'm sorry about your spanish homework and about being homesick though. :(

take a deep breath, Sugar. I am sorry about your hard work getting lost. I know its frustrating, but you did it once, so you know you can do it again. (despite how bad it will suck)

I can relate to the homesick thing though. When we got orders to the East coast from Montana I was excited. New place, new people, new adventure. But I have found it harder with my family still back home. You need to find something to ease the pain of missing home. What was something you LOVED back home?

Now as for the gym, What are your reasons for being here? You have a goal right? and you really want it. the only thing between you and that goal is going to the gym. You will not regret going, but you will regret not going.

You can't let one slip up multiply into a complete surrender to old habits. Acknowledge the mistake, think about why it happened, come up with a plan for the next time you have a similar situation, and move on! This isn't a linear event... there are going to be dips along your journey, but you can decide to keep your trajectory in the positive direction. OR... you can decide to give up and beat yourself up again about it all. The key here... YOU get to decide! So... decide to just get back at it and you will conquer this challenge! Take positive action.... HIT THE GYM! :) and tomorrow... make the healthiest choices you can for your meals. We can't change what has happened... we can learn from it but then we have to move on.

okay i had a really good day today of healthy eating...then everything just went wrong :( i got really upset and homesick (i am in florida for college even though i am from pennsylvania) and i just found out the hours i put into my spanish homework got deleted online through the website. i binged a little, not too bad, but bad enough to ruin my progress for the day and now i can't seem to get myself to go to the gym. such a terrible feeling :(
