Oh good. I was hoping something like that would work! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I just made another batch yesterday and used 2 cups whole wheat flour and 1 cup regular bread flour. Next time I'm going to try all whole wheat flour.

I also have a question about the multi-grain rolls. I'm dying to make them but one of the ingredients is 'white whole wheat bread flour'. I just cannot find bread flour with this description. I have seen it just regular white whole wheat flour... just not with the 'bread' in it. What have you folks used?

Awesome I am going to give that a try because I do have a bread maker either.

I'd say it took about 10 minutes. The dough is pretty sticky at first but becomes easier to work with as you go. I didn't use additional flour because I didn't want it to affect the nutrtitional value, but that might make it a little easier. It's kind of hard work but I figured the calories burned helped ease the damage from eating 3 of them as soon as they came out of the oven emoticon

How long did you knead the dough?

You do not need a mixer. I mixed the ingredients in a bowl and then kneaded the dough by hand. They turned out great. What I did have a problem with was getting the topping to stay on the rolls after baking. Any suggestions?

I would like to make multi-grain rolls but don't have a dough mixer. Can they be made without an electric mixer?
