Very roughly 5 miles ... but .... depends on the length of your stride.

At 5'3", I have short legs & don't hit 5 miles until I'm past 12000 steps. My tall husband, on the other hand, hits 5 miles before 10000 steps.

A mile is roughly 2,000 steps, so 10,000 would be 5 miles. :)

This is, of course, a wide estimate, and may be more or less depending on your stride and cadence, but that's a good rough number.

I use a gps ap ( my tracker) to keep track of my outdoor daily walking. Can someone tell me how many miles the daily 10,000 steps recommendation translates to miles?
