I've started jumping rope and I have a blast. I just do what I can and enjoy it. I am currently jumping for 100 revolutions then resting for 60 seconds. I do this interval combination 6 times. After I few weeks I am going to start resting for shorter periods or increase my number of revolutions.

Several months ago I decided to teach myself how to jump rope. At first I was lucky to get more than 3 jumps. Then a minute felt like forever, but now I do 10 min a day with ease!

My chiro group does double unders. I am lucky i can keep the jump rope going around for several revolutions before tripping. I try to get in 50 jumps in a row. I have made it several times. If I miss, I have to start my count over. I think one time I did over 500 jumps to get 2 sets of 50.

jumping rope and burpees are probably the two perfect exercises.

Jump rope burns calories at an amazing pace!
Check out some boxer training videos online and look at how high they jump. They barely take their feet off the ground.

When I first started jumping rope, 10 minutes and i was DONE. But my technique wasn't very good, i was trying to jump a foot off the ground.
As you keep practicing, you'll get more efficient, and you can start "shuffling" from one foor to the other or get into fancy footwork.
For now, just try to think about how high you are junping and try to make your hops lower.

I'm impressed. I just started doing jumping jacks every so often with the kiddo and the first time I was done after a minute.
