Welcome back!!!! Ah family -- you have to love them. But you DON'T have to listen to them. Use your blog to vent about it. It's tough when you don't have support from home, but YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Here is your Getting Started Guide:

These New Member Tutorial Videos are very helpful:

I try to encourage new members to get active in the SparkPeople community! Join a Spark Team or two that match your interests. You will find it easy to get acquainted with folks on Spark Teams. For instance, you can select a Team of Sparkers in your city, or Sparkers who follow a particular food plan (vegetarians, low carb, etc.), Sparkers with a particular health concern, or Sparkers who share your hobbies. Another option is to set up your SparkPage and start blogging. Some folks use the Community Journals. Post a lot on the message boards, especially if you have successes or challenges. You'll soon find that you're connecting with many nice folks here.

This is a great, positive community! I’m glad you’re with us.

Hi all,

this is my second time around to start spark, the first was a few months ago and while i loved it and lost weight, some real life issues came up that made it easy for me to postpone this for a while and i gain weight back. so here i am trying again. Have been dedicated for a month now and have even started going to the local YMCA and doing pool workouts.

I have never ventured onto the boards or searched out support from strangers, but im not getting a whole bunch of support from family or friends right not. My hubby is great but he works evenings so im left alone at night with my mom who believes if you dont eat you will lose weight. my doctor is having me follow spark and eat 5 times a day, but everytime i go to get my small "meal" she has to comment about how all i do is eat and its eating late. ( i will have my last meal at 1 am , i go to bed around 5 am due to hubbys schedule).

not sure if this will help what im going thru , but im willing to try!
