I'm a fan of an apple with a little peanut butter. I also like popcorn with VERY little butter. I guess I figure it's okay to have a little fat with my healthy food as long as I keep it small and keep track of it.

Hard boiled egg; a small bowl of greek yogurt with fruit; or something along those lines, with a healthy shot of protein, have become my post-workout food choice. I feel the same way- starving after I exercise!

@Eric=I'm glad were still friends also, but I really wish that I would like good for you foods. I just find it hard to eat what I don't like. @Rez, thanks for the tips. I love peanut butter.

I'd search for 'Food Should Taste Good' chips in your local supermarket. If you can't find any there, you can order directly from their website, or from Amazon.

My personal favorites are the sweet potato chips, both the kettle cooked and tortilla varieties. There's a great selection, though, including chocolate, cheddar, jalapeno, salt & pepper, and others. You can find all the nutrition information for every kind that they produce on their website. These are good, IMO, so long as you measure out the 1 oz serving size rather than repeatedly dipping back into the bag.

If you like popcorn, I'd also keep an eye out for the Jolly Time 100 calorie bags. They taste good, are relatively low-sodium, and it's easy to regulate portion as each bag is meant to be an individual serving.

You also might like peanut butter spread on plain rice cakes, or fruit dipped in peanut butter. Just be mindful of how much peanut butter you're scooping out as the calories can add up quickly.

The 5-minute high provided by junk food, followed by the crash and sick feeling that follows, can't be called "good mood food".

Seriously, you can't enjoy a bowl of grapes or some strawberries/blueberries? Or an orange? How can you not like fruit? Nature's candy, baby- I can't get enough of it.

If you need junk food that badly, then I guess some Special K cereal, a granola bar, or maybe a flavored Cheerios bowl with milk might work.

no with a capital NO!! TO be perfectly honest, junk food has always put me in a GOOD mood, at least for a little while after I eat it. I am so trying to do without it but it's hard, really hard. Fruit does nothing for me, except maybe ice cold watermelon on a real hot day. I guess that's why there is such an obesity problem in the U.S. Stress is the biggest trigger for me to eat bad foods.

By now, shouldn't junk food put you in a bad mood?

When I eat junk food, I can only eat small portions now- they make me feel sick!

Magic Pop slice and Peanut Butter. Magic Pop is like a rice cake, but thin and size of 6 inch tortilla. We have Weis Markets here in PA - but other stores may have it. I dont have stats - but my Granddaughter is Type I Diabetic and these have low carbs.

Smuckers Natural Creamy Peanut Butter (no sugar added, just peanuts and salt) with an apple. I am having it for a snack right now and it tastes sooo decadent to me. Creamy, salty, crunchy and sweet, all at once. *drool*

ok, other than junk food feel good foods, does anyone know of any good for you good mood foods that have worked for them. I'm still struggling with feeling good on a diet which does not totally exist of junk food, ie., chips, sweets, etc. Thanks, Amy
