I am borderline hypoglycemic so I also have to watch several foods dairy, sweets chocolates to name a few.

I use those chewy, chocolate calcium chews. They stand in for dessert or satisfy my sweet tooth, and provide calcium along with vitamin D. 20 calories each. I eat yogurt 1-2 times a day, so I limit myself to 1-2 calcium chews a day. Your body can only absorb a certain amount of calcium at a time. Space intake at least 2 hours apart.
I dont see the Dr until next week and then every 3 months I might have to requests to be referred to an endo Dr and maybe see what he says I am close to my 147 as I weighed in at 152.5 today but I really want to get my energy back. I saw the quick link thanks

I'm not much help re: the Calcium---but it seems you've already gotten great advice on that anyway!

I am finding that I have to watch all dairy intake. I even have to count my eggs and no more than 3 a day. I also have entered my vitamins on my tracker but as I take 1800 a day per my Doctor I have to watch it as my Morning pills have to be taken on an empty stomach and I cannot take calcium with in 2 hours of them.

Funny enough, Almond Milk has more calcium than cow's milk, maybe you could try that. It's pretty bland, but if you use the Vanilla or Chocolate flavors, not too bad. Also, greek yogurt has a good amount of calcium and can be used to make smoothies. Also Chia seeds, so if you make a chia greek yogurt smoothie and plop in some spinach, you are acing the calium intake. I use a cup of gr. yogurt, 2 tablespoons of Chia seeds, a cup of frozen fruit and stevia to take the tart edge off the yogurt. Adding in spinach doesn't change the taste, but it adds a ton of nutrients. You can use a blender or a magic bullet type device.

Sardines are a good source of calcium. I like them but I know for many the cure would be worse than the disease.

I agree about the dark leafy greens. I learned that the calcium they contain is WAY more absorbed than the calcium from dairy products.

You'd be best off asking your doctor if you should be taking it all at once, or in smaller amounts 2-3x a day.
Calcium can interfere with uptake of certain medications, so it is important to get a doctor's input on the timing of when you take these things!
I am not sure I got the correct group, if not please redirect me. I am lactose intolerant and I take 1800 mg calcium daily per my Dr orders. I remember seeing an article that the body cannot use more than 600 mg at a time should I be spreading out my vitamins? or is that for food only? I have meds that I have to take at certain times a day and space them so then do not interfere with my other meds. Any suggestions. Can you PM me as I sometimes cannot find all the places I put requests on the boards. Thanks

Are you lactose intolerant and can't drink milk ? If you're not getting your calcium from milk or fortified orange juice, then do make sure you're eating plenty of dark leafy greens. Are you eating enough veggies ? Dark leafy greens like collards, spinach, kale, broccoli, okra, etc... are loaded with calcium. So, if you can't drink milk, then make sure you're eating your veggies.
