cheese, mushrooms/fungus, nuts (depending on how they are processed), penicillin... knowthecause.com may have additional information on fungus in food.

Hey, Sunshine6442, are there any more cheeses you have found specifically that you CAN eat? I also have eliminated everything except the cheese.....didn't think about that. Even fruit is causing me problems. Meat and veggies seem to be my best friends I had such a bad reaction over Thanksgiving from having to rely on restaurant food.....we were in the moving mode.....and I'm still trying to correct that. I started a 6 week regiment of 75 billion probiotic stuff and it's better but still not great. Maybe it's the cheese. Thanks for your input!
I am allegic to mold....Pennicillin, mold, mildew... avoid all products with yeast, mushrooms as they are a fungus, all the nightshade foods, certain cheeses like blue cheese, no dried fruits...dates, prunes, figs, and raisins....mold tends to thrive in a sugary envirorment...yeast feeds on sugar....no breads or bakes goods as they can set off an allegic reaction....certain preservatives...if I eat swiss or cheddar I itch until I'm bloody, yet Bordens Fat Free cheese does not seem to bother me, nor full fat cottage cheee.
Probiotic supplements containing acidophilus seem to help me...speak with your doctor ...I buy my acidophilus pill at Walmart. They put good bacteria in your gut to fight off the bad bacteria.
Too many Carbohydrates can cause gas & bloating such as rice, potatoes, and pasta, beans and peas...also wheat products can cause gas.....omit wheat from your diet and see.
If you are eating anything sugar free...or drinking sugar free it could cause bloating

Can anyone give me their own personal experiences with foods that bothered them (swelling/bloating) that they think are linked to severe mold allergies. I have those allergies and I'm already gluten/dairy/soy sensitive. I think the xanthum/guar gums bother me, which would make sense. I'm taking Bio-K liquid fermented rice probiotics. Would that cause problems? The whole "fermented" thing? I'm so frustrated with my stomach! Any input is appreciated. melissa
