If the strength exercises are working your muscles to fatigue in 8-12 repetitions, 1-3 sets, then I'd leave a day of rest in between workouts. If not, you might not need that rest. I would suggest that the exercises aren't challenging enough if they don't meet this criteria, and you might be better off doing dedicated strength workouts instead of just as part of another class.
Hope that helps,

I've recently started doing some cardio/resistance group classes at the gym. My favorite is an interval class, alternating cardio bursts and 5-8 lb weights exercises. I've been doing this class 4-5 days a week (m-f). Is it ok to do this type of resistance training on consecutive days? Would it be better to do straight cardio in between days? Thanks :).
