I have an Ultra Fitbit (which they stopped making). I love it. I have also used the cheap ones and found that they are not that accurate.

I have Sportline that I wear, I wear 2, but I wear them on my shoe, because they fall off my waist all the time. I have checked it with my treadmill and last night at the walking track and it was pretty much right. I have been wear them for about a month in a half now, the other one I wear on my other shoe I got free at Dollywood back in May. I'm so addictive to them now. If I change shoes I always put my pedometer on that shoe. I'm looking into the Fitbit or another kind that is quieter, the one I use has a clicking sound, I have gotten use to it but everyone around can hear it. I have had a lot of people asking me what is that on your shoe. It's also a good conversation piece too.
I have an Omron that I've been using for about 8 years and it still works great. It tracks all steps, as well as aerobic steps (it counts steps at/above a certain pace without more than a short pause). You can put your weight and the length of your stride and it will tell you miles and calories used. It also has a 7-day memory.
