Thank you guys , i don't plan on giving up!!

Peedie22, Insomnia isn't something i just began dealing with. But it has become more frequent and debilitating ,if you will, causing migraines etc.. I have been trying to avoid sleeping pills due to a bad side effect to one of them but i just can not go on like this. Maybe whatever my doctor prescribes next will work.

We all have 'off' weeks. Don't beat yourself up, just keep plugging away at it. One off week won't sabotage your entire plan.

For me it's more about the long haul anyway, Finding ways to change one unhealthy habit at a time and stick to that. Why was your sleep bad? You might want to start there. Stress can really mess you up, and if you aren't sleeping, it all snowballs. Ask yourself why you didn't get enough sleep and what you can do to change that. Good luck! You will get there. emoticon

Getting a good night's sleep is an important part of our healthy lifestyle. However, having a blah week doesn't necessarily mean you will or won't lose weight. That's not how weight loss works. Weight loss is extremely complex. While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week. There may be weeks you don't lose. There may even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you've done something wrong.

Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time and it's not predictable. maybe you'll lose and maybe you won't. Once again, that's not an indication of failure.

So, don't get down on yourself if the scale doesn't move for a week or even two weeks. As the coaches all say,"trust the process".

its important to eat within your calorie range, plus it helps to keep you from not sticking to your diet and fitness routine

You know the problems that might have contributed to your off week, now its your job to look forward to a new week. One week will not impede the progress you already made. Stay strong and move onto the new week. You can do it.

Commit to exercise and portion control - no matter what. One of my biggest challenges is the stress in my life that steals my sleep - yet, I have achieved my weight goal, lost inches and am back to my majorette weight. Geting enough sleep is obviously highly recommended - but when it doesn't happen, don't let it sabotage the rest of your efforts. I even eat when I am up in the middle of the night - but it is a planned - and tracked - snack and it never makes me exceed my calorie count; it doesn't destroy my nutrient balance either. Sometimes I exercise at 2 or 3 AM - then I may be able to sleep. May God bless your success on this journey we all share.

I didn't lose any weight this week and i'm not surprised. My sleep was at my bare minimum. Because my sleep was off so was my eating and exercise performance. Most days i didn't eat enough and definitely didn't have any energy to kill it in the gym. Hoping this week will be more productive. Fingers crossed!
