Yes, I love it and motivates me to continue my healthy lifestyle. The changes that are made in the contestants are amazing and it is so good to see them break through whatever it was that caused them to emotionally eat. I love the trainer, Chris. He's good looking.

No, I don't watch them on purpose. The weight loss is not reasonable and appears to be unhealthy to me. I don't want to become unsatisfied with my efforts by comparing them to others on TV
I haven't watched it this year. They do seem to get good results. I always said I would be skinny if I had my own trainer, nutritionist and cook. I am glad they take a whole year on this one instead of trying for a quick fix.
I haven't watched it yet. I have it dvr'd. Guess I need to get caught up!

I like this show because they do it in a year which is more realistic to keep the weight off in the long run. They also provide loose skin surgery for them which I think is terrific. Of course once the show ends and they are on their own back to their same life as before just with a smaller body, they really need to work on the mental part to keep the weight off.

I do watch & like it so much better than Biggest Loser-for the most part the people have to do it at home with the challenges that were there to begin with, and it's rewards-based, not punishment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they ever stated on the show that he (Chris) is living with these people for the 1st 3 months. Usually he has them for the first week & sends them on their way home. I know with the twins he had the sister with him in AZ, but like someone said he has his wife there too (who is also a trainer). I know he occasionally will stay with the people for a short time if he sees they need his help.
And of course I'll be watching because of all the home state WI contestants this year-I mean come on, both Donald Driver AND Clay Matthews next week? Yeah baby! :) Although from the previews, the guy for next week looks to be an incredible story on his own.
Also-with the twins, there was a previous season "loser" who helped with the training in AZ & she still looked pretty good. But it would be great to see updates on the people from the show.
Chris is from Phoenix and when they are "living" with them they are usually in California? I'm wondering if he doesn't have them in a group, we just don't see it on the show?
His wife is also involved sometimes, that may explain how he covers the number of people?
regardless, I'm totally addicted to the show. And I love 600 lb life too! That show is crazy!

I forgot to watch last night (and haven't set it up to record yet). I have enjoyed it in the past, but it irritates me when they "lie" on these reality shows. If he was really living with them for the first three months, then they could only do 4 people a year. but the season is longer than that

Yes, I watched last night. I am just amazed how a person so big can get their body so small. Even if it is not actually real, just the fact that she did lose weight and that it is possible is amazing. Either way it really motivates me.

I watched last night. How they lose that amount of weight in 90 days is beyond me. Can it possibly be healthy?????

I've not watched any of the weight loss shows, but I do enjoy the "My 600 lb Life" documentaries. They follow the participant for several years. Some get the weight off and keep it off; others gain most of the weight back. These have all been brutally honest, showing the ups and downs, mental & physical.
very eye-opening. Anybody who thinks GB surgery is the 'easy way out' is so very wrong!

I'm iffy about these shows. I've often heard the stories how afterward, the weight is gained back because they didn't know how to maintain. If this show is different than the other popular weight loss show that would be great.

I don't watch much TV, so I haven't heard of it. But, I am guessing from the comments that it is a lot like a show I watched a few years back about overweight teenagers. I don't remember the name of that one, but it was very motivational.

I'm not into reality shows ...but I find their approach much much better than Biggest Loser. And I love the way they intelligently investigate and reveal the 'home' issues that are negatively influencing the participants

I watched the episode last night profiling "Meredith" and I was truly amazed at her losing 159 lbs in 1 year.....and running a marathon halfway through her weight loss. She had a great attitude toward her weight loss which is 90 percent of the battle!

No, I've been around the block a few times though, so know they are not all they seem to be. This stuff has been on tv for years, even in black & white tv, and the people who lost a lot of weight, tended to gain most of it back, but they don't like to tell you or show you that.

I get so much motivation watching weight loss shows, I'm thinking I need to record them and play them over and over. Does anyone else look forward to these shows??
